Stanton Woodland & Wildlife Action Group was formed in 2006, an amalgamation of two established groups (Stanton Wildlife Action Group and Stanton Community Woodland Project). Our aim is to encourage awareness and enjoyment of nature in and around the village, and to establish a Community Woodland in Stanton. We have arranged walks, picnics, easter egg hunts, wildlife surveys and an increasingly popular fund-raising event.

We completed the purchase of nearly three acres of land for our community woodland SID'S PIECE at the end of 2007.

Our fundraising event PLANTS and CRAFTS at Wyken Hall took place on Sunday the 23rd April. Despite the poor weather forecast and rain in the afternoon we had a very successful event. Thanks to everyone who came to support us and the volunteers who helped out on the day.
